Here's the Central Florida weather forecast for the weekend ahead:

We had a hot Friday afternoon with temperatures in the mid to upper 80s inland and low 80s along the east coast. No change to our dry conditions with not a drop of rain for the end of our work week. Saturday will be similar with mostly sunny skies and hot temperatures, but rain is expected to move Sunday and temperatures will back off slightly. 

Mostly clear skies will continue through the overnight hours. Temperatures will only drop into the mid to upper 60s for most with lows around 70 degrees along the coast. We’re still looking at the potential for some thick smoke and fog to start out the day on Saturday. This may slow down your morning plans.

Saturday will start out with mostly sunny skies, although a few clouds will move in for the afternoon. There will also be a slight chance for a few showers, first along the east coast and then moving inland late in the day. Highs will be hot, climbing to around 90 degrees.

A system moves in on Sunday, increasing rain chances for the end of our weekend. We may even hear a few rumbles of thunder. This system will help to knock high temperatures back briefly for the start of next week.

In the tropics, Arlene has weakened to a remnant low in the north Atlantic. Still no concern for Florida. 

Winds will pick up ahead of Sunday’s system which will create a bit of a chop Saturday on the water. Use caution if heading out on the boat. There will also continue to be a moderate rip current risk.

An isolated shower cannot be completely ruled out for Wednesday as winds continue off of the Atlantic. Most will be dry with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures. Highs inland will be in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees and mid to low 80s along the coast. Not much will change for the rest of the week as temperatures continue to warm up even more. A system is expected to move through early next week and will hopefully bring some much needed rain.
