State Road 415 in Volusia County has reopened after a brush fire caused a closure of the roadway, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The fire was at the intersection of Budd Road and SR-415 in the New Smyrna Beach area, just west of Interstate 95.

Earlier Sunday, smoke could be seen billowing behind several homes in the area.

Multiple agencies responded to help protect homes including, Volusia County Fire Rescue, Deltona Fire Department and Florida Forestry Service.

This comes a day after a brush fire in Osceola County shut down Florida's Turnpike on Saturday.
