A train accident in Ormond Beach early Saturday morning killed one person.

Officials said a train struck a vehicle that was crossing the rail road tracks at Lincoln Avenue around 4:42 a.m. 

The driver of the vehicle died at the scene. The name of the victim has not been released, pending notification of the next of kin. 

Traffic was closed until 7:30 a.m. at Granada Boulevard and Wilmette Avenue. 

No other information has been released on the accident.
