After some much-needed rain, we're about enter a dry pattern. Here's the Central Florida weather forecast for Thursday night and the upcoming weekend:

  • Overnight lows will dip to about 60 degrees
  • Mostly sunny and seasonable temperatures Friday
  • Highs Saturday and Sunday in the 80s
  • SEE BELOWSee our 7-day forecast

A front moving south brought some showers and even a few thunderstorms Thursday. We also had some strong winds out of the northeast with gusts up to 30 mph. These winds helped to knock high temperatures back a bit. Highs made it only into the 70s. Rain will move out for the end of our workweek, but seasonable temperatures stick around.

Clouds will start to decrease through the overnight hours as the front moves away from Central Florida. Winds will be breezy out of the northeast, allowing for some slightly cooler temperatures. Most will fall to around 60 degrees. There are a few of our southern spots that may only fall into the mid 60s.

Our Friday will be mostly sunny and seasonable with high temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. Winds will continue to be strong with gusts over 20 mph possible. We'll warm back up this weekend with highs both Saturday and Sunday in the low to mid 80s. Sunshine will stick around for the next several days with rain chances holding off until next week.

Winds will weaken slightly for Friday, but still remain high. This will keep rough ocean conditions around and there is a Small Craft Advisory in place. The rip current threat will also remain elevated.
