In two months, Pandora-The World of Avatar will open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

  • Satu'li Canteen to feature mobile ordering
  • Diners can order and pay for meals using Disney app
  • Dishes based on grains, fresh vegetables and proteins

Disney promises the new land will transport visitors to a “visually stunning” world of floating mountains and bioluminescent plants.

Pandora will offer visitors several new experiences, including Mobile Order—a service that allows people to order food from their mobile device.

Satu’li Canteen, the main restaurant in Pandora, will be the first to utilize the service.

Here’s how it works:

Using the My Disney Experience app, diners can select menu items, customize their order and pre-pay for their meal. Once they arrive at the restaurant, they will tap an “I’m here” button in the app. The kitchen will begin preparing the meal, and diners will be alerted, through the app, when to pick up their meal.

Disney said other fast-casual and quick-service restaurants offer Mobile Order service later this year.

In addition to the mobile order announcement, Disney also revealed new details about the menu at Satu’li Canteen.

Dishes will be based on the vegetation of Pandora—grains, fresh vegetables and proteins.

Diners will be able to customize meals with lunch and dinner bowls, according to Disney. Diners can tart with a base of quinoa and vegetable salad; red and sweet potato hash; mixed whole-grain and rice or romaine and kale salad. They can then select from a selection of proteins—wood-grilled chicken, slow-roasted beef, sustainable fish or chili-spiced fried tofu. The dish can be topped offed with charred onion chimichurri, black bean vinaigrette or creamy herb dressing.

The menu also includes steamed “pods”—bao buns with either cheeseburger or vegetable curry, served with root vegetable chips and crunchy vegetable slaw.

For children, there’s an option of grilled chicken or beef, fish or tofu; a hot dog wrapped in Parker House dough; cheese quesadilla, or a steamed “pod” (cheeseburger bao bun).

An on-stage grill will be prominently featured in the dining room.

Satu’li Canteen will be located in Pandora’s Valley of Mo’ara. Pandora will also feature a drink stand, called Pongu Pongu, which will offer drinks and snacks.

Pandora-The World of Avatar opens May 27.
