On April 6, Brevard investigators announced that 20-year-old Adrian Corice Johnson Jr. of Cocoa had been charged with felony murder in connection with the case. They said Johnson and Bentley had lured a man to the residence over a drug transaction and planned to rob him. A struggle ensued, and Bentley was fatally shot.
The investigation is ongoing, the Sheriff’s Office said. Anyone with information that could help investigators is asked to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).
