Two little girls are safe after the car they were in was stolen by a carjacker on Friday morning, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

At around 8 a.m., a father told deputies at a 7-Eleven on Central Florida Parkway that he was thrown off the hood of his vehicle by a man who would steal it with the father's two daughters, ages 2 and 6, inside, according to Public Information Officer Jeff Williamson in a press release.

The suspect, later identified as 27-year-old Donovan Campbell, apparently crashed the vehicle at a Wawa along the intersection of Central Florida Parkway and International Drive, Williamson stated. The girls were found safe at the Wawa after good Samaritans came to their aid.

Campbell was later found hiding in the bathroom in a nearby Publix, explained Williamson.

Campbell has not yet been charged.
