SpaceX is targeting 1:35 a.m. for the Falcon 9 launch from Launch Pad 39a.

The launch was scrapped Tuesday because of weather. But tonight's weather is 90 percent "go" for launch.

On board the rocket is the EchoStar 23 satellite. When the Falcon 9 launches, it will deliver the satellite to Geostationary Transfer Orbit, more than 22,000 miles above Earth.

Because of the high orbit, the rocket will not have enough power to land the first stage booster.

EchoStar 23 will join a group of satellites designed to improve live communications for businesses, the government and even television networks.

Meanwhile over at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, United Launch Alliance is prepping an Atlas V rocket for launch next week.

The Atlas will carry the Orbital ATK Cygnus cargo spacecraft to the International Space Station.

The launch is scheduled for Friday, March 24 at 9 p.m. from Space Launch Complex 41. However, ULA has also requested the option to move the launch up to March 23, depending on weather the Eastern Range is available.

ULA says it will get its team time to replace and retest a first stage hydraulic component.
