A person putting gas in their disabled vehicle in the right lane of I-4 was struck and killed by a motorcyclist late Tuesday night, according to police.

According to Orlando Police, the motorcyclist was behind a semi truck in the right lane of westbound I-4 near Kaley Street when the semi swerved to the left to avoid hitting the disabled vehicle.

The motorcyclist swerved to the right, between the disabled vehicle and concrete barriers, and struck the person, who was on the passenger side of their vehicle. The person died at the scene.

The names of those involved have not been released, nor was the condition of the motorcyclist.

That section of I-4 was closed for several hours and reopened just afer 2 a.m. Wednesday.
