Two women suspected in a drive-by shooting that injured a 2-year-old girl in Tavares appeared before judges Saturday.

Micqueala Williams, the suspected shooter, had her court appearance in Orange County, while Alicia Winters, the suspected driver, appeared before a judge in Lake County.

Williams was arrested Friday night in Pine Hills. She faces multiple charges including attempted murder and shooting into an occupied building.

Meanwhile, Winters turned herself in Friday at the Tavares Police Department. She’s accused of driving the vehicle used in Tuesday’s shooting.

Winters faces charges of principal to an attempted murder with a firearm and principal to a shooting into an occupied dwelling.

Bond for both women was set at $80,000.  

According to police, Sy’mia Pierce, 2, was playing outside of an apartment on 580 West Rosewood Lane at 9 p.m.

A vehicle drove by and someone inside fired several shots, said the girl’s mother told investigators.

She said a dispute over a dog led to the shooting.
