A Winter Park woman was arrested after shooting her husband twice during an argument, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Hampshire Court at 9:47 p.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival, deputies talked with 26-year-old Tina Poirier who said she and her husband, 48-year-old Dennis Lugo had an argument.

The couple argued about Lugo’s mistress, who is pregnant with his second child, according to the arrest affidavit.

During the argument, Poirier retrieved a gun from a nightstand in their bedroom and fired shots at Lugo, deputies said.

Lugo had a gunshot wound to his right wrist and one to the left side of his chest.

He was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

Poirier is charged with attempted homicide and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

She was booked into the John E. Polk Correctional Facility with a no bond status.
