Police have arrested a man accused of stabbing a woman at a bus station in Cocoa.

On Friday, emergency dispatchers received multiple calls about a stabbing at the Space Coast Area Transit Cocoa Station on Varr Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found a woman with a stab wound.
She was able to provide investigators with information about the suspect.
The woman was airlifted to a hospital in critical but stable condition.
Officers were able to locate the suspect, later identified as 53-year-old Hugh Newsome, who was still in the area.
According to investigators, Newsome and the woman had a prior relationship and were arguing before the stabbing.
Newsome was arrested and charged with attempted felony murder and resisting an officer without violence.
