A vacant day care caught fire Friday morning, according to the Sanford Police Department.
Firefighters responded to the building located at 301 Maple Avenue.
They were able to extinguish the fire.

State Road 17-92 and Holly Avenue, between 2nd Street and 6th Street, were closed while crews battled the fire.
No other details were released.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
