We are watching some big stories in the week ahead. Here are 5 to pay attention to:

1. Dr. Phillips Center Phase 2 funding

On Monday Orlando's City Council is expected to sign off on the funding for the next phase for the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. The cost of the project will be $227.5 million, with much of the money coming from the tourist development tax.

Construction is set to begin next month. Details are on the Dr. Phillips Center website.
