A person was fatally struck by a Florida East Coast train on Friday morning, according to the Melbourne Police Department.
The accident happened before 7 a.m. at the railroad tracks at Melbourne Avenue, near U.S. 192.
U.S. 192 to Palmetto Avenue was closed for the investigation.
The identity of the person has not been released.
