An Orlando driver received a ticket for careless driving after he lost control of his vehicle and hit a power pole during the overnight, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

At around 12:05 a.m., Monday, Jovaney Pagan was driving westbound on Colonial Drive (State Road 50) in his 2008 Nissan four-door vehicle when for some unknown reason he lost control and left the road, according to FHP.
Pagan's vehicle struck a power pole, knocking it over and power lines fell across the road, the FHP stated. About 40 people were without power.
The 33-year-old Orange County man was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center for serious injuries.
The FHP stated that he was wearing a seatbelt and that alcohol was not involved.
