The members of the U.S. House and Senate are spending this week back home in their states and districts, but few are planning public events with their constituents.

The week of Feb. 20 is marked in the U.S. House calendar as a District Work Week. That means your lawmakers may be in their district offices. These work weeks are meant to help representatives keep in contract with their constituents.

But as of right now, few lawmakers have announced plans for any public appearances.

In some cases, they are still working on nailing down details.

In some cases, though, raucous town hall meetings in Pasco County and in Salt Lake City, Utah have lawmakers shying away.

It's not a new phenomenon. In 2009, after a summer of ugly town hall meetings for the Affordable Care Act, many Democrats refrained from holding the public events.

Now with the Affordable Care Act being repealed, many are concerned about what will replace it, or if it will be replaced at all.

In addition to the following public events, several lawmakers are taking part in a "Save Healthcare Rally" Saturday, Feb. 25 at 2:30 p.m. on Princeton Street near Florida Hospital and the Orlando Science Center.

We are asking lawmakers if they will be holding any events. As lawmakers respond, we will add them to this list.
