Grubb reportedly suffered 'critical trauma to her body.'

Minutes before 11:20 a.m., first responders received a 911 call "in reference to a white female, who has been identified as Barbara Lynn Grubb, who appeared to be deceased."

It is unclear how the woman ended up on the road, but neighbors hope the victim’s family will soon get some closure.

“I hope they find the person that did this to her because it’s not right," said resident Brenda Reed. "This town is so small and everything that goes on here is uncalled for.”

An autopsy is scheduled to take place on Monday. Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
