A man was injured in a shooting in Altamonte Springs Saturday afternoon, according to police.

The shooting happened after a road-rage incident at the intersection of Ronald Reagan Boulevard and State Road 436, police said.

The man pulled over near Central Parkway after another driver in a black Honda pulled out a gun and fired shots.

The suspect fled the scene and was last seen traveling down Douglas Avenue.

The injured man was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center.  

There was a woman inside the vehicle with him at the time of the incident, but she was not injured.

"Bring your patience when you’re coming onto these roads," said Evelyn Estevez with Altamonte Springs Police. "It’s the holiday season there are a lot of vehicles on the road."
