Cold weather is making its way across Central Florida this weekend.

Brevard County residents can expect temperatures in the 40s overnight, according to Spectrum News 13 meteorologists.

Due to the drop in temperatures, officials are opening cold weather shelters.

  • Disabled Veterans Chapter 109, Titusville
  • Sharing Center of Central Brevard, Cocoa
  • His Place Ministries, Melbourne

The shelters will be open Saturday and Sunday.

Officials are trying to determine if they will be open additional nights.
