Marion County deputies have arrested a man in connection to a Tuesday morning homicide and attempted homicide in Citra.

Billy Dee Johnson, 39, has been charged with the alleged second degree murder of Alfred Jackson Jr., 65, and the attempted second degree murder of Eclinton Thomas Jr., 54.

Deputies said they responded to a home at 3105 Northeast 162nd Place at 6:30 a.m. They found Jackson and Thomas with multiple stab wounds. Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene, while Thomas was transported to an area hospital and is in critical condition.

Johnson was found at the scene with minor lacerations and was also transported to a hospital for treatment.

Detectives said that when questioning Johnson, his statements were inconsistent. Due to physical evidence gathered and Johnson's own alleged admissions, detectives arrested Johnson on Wednesday.

He is currently in Marion County Jail without bond.
