Human remains were found in water at a Marion County park on Sunday, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Several people reported finding possible human remains at Ray Wayside Park in Silver Springs.
The people flagged down an off-duty deputy, who responded to the area of 9564 NE 28th Lane.
When the deputy arrived at the scene, he confirmed human remains were present.
The MCSO Major Crimes Unit was notified and the scene was secured.
Ray Wayside Park is closed until further notice while deputies conduct a death investigation.
