We had a fast moving cold front dropping across the peninsula Tuesday, bringing with it a few clouds and another push of unseasonably cool air.

Wind that has been gusting over 25 mph will slowly diminish this overnight as the front drops into southern Florida.

Under a clear sky, lows dip into the 30s and 40s as we head toward daybreak, with potential frost staying northwest of a line from Webster in Sumter County up to Bunnell in Flagler County.

Chilly high pressure overhead Wednesday will keep us in a sunny sky, with highs in the upper 50s north, to lower and a few mid 60s elsewhere.

A southwest flow will usher in warmer air and push highs back into the low 70s for Thursday and Friday ahead of the next front set to bring us a few scattered showers possible along the front Friday.

Highs dip slightly into the 60s Saturday, then warm back into the low to mid-70s with sunshine on Sunday. Rain chances return Monday, with a high in the upper 70s.

A side-shore northerly windswell will begin building, and with wave heights barely pushing up to two feet, overall surfing conditions look poor Wednesday.

The rip current threat is low, but if you’re planning to swim, be prepared for a big of a chill in the water.

Sea surface temps are running in the upper 60s to around 70 up and down our east coast.
