Thanks to the winds staying off the Atlantic most of the month, November had above normal temperatures in most locations.

  • Above normal temps in November
  • Orlando was 1.4 degrees above normal
  • Melbourne recorded 5th warmest November

The rainfall totals for the month were more varied in Central Florida. It was drier in most inland areas with the highest totals from the Brevard beaches south.

Temperatures for the month averaged between 1 to 2 degrees above normal. In fact, Melbourne recording their fifth warmest November on record. Here are the numbers:

Orlando had a monthly average temperature of 69.9 degrees. That was 1.4 degrees above normal.

Daytona Beach had a monthly average temperature of 68.9 degrees. That was 2.3 degrees above normal.

Melbourne had a monthly average temperature of 73.1 degrees. That was 4.1 degrees above normal.  

What about rainfall?    

Orlando had 0.17 inches of rain for the month. That was 2.00 inches below normal. This was the eighth lowest rainfall total on record during the month of November.

Daytona Beach had 1.64 inches of rain for the month. That was 1.05 inches below normal.

Melbourne had 2.59 inches of rain for the month. That was 0.29 inches below normal.   

Not an overly exciting weather month, but we needed a break after our active hurricane season!
