  • He was taken to a hospital for treatment

The incident happened on Leslie Ann Lane and Sal Street.

Tobiann Dyke was working in her yard when she heard screaming coming from one of her neighbor’s homes.

Dyke flagged down a police officer who was in the neighborhood.

“I ran up to the officer to notify him that somebody needed help over here because I heard a lot of yelling going on,” Dyke said.

Dyke and the officer ran toward the home and found a man in his 60s on the ground bleeding.

She and the officer helped apply pressure to the man’s wounds until emergency responders arrived.

“I kept trying to tell him that he would be OK, and that he would be able to make it back to his family for Christmas,” she said.

Dyke told police she saw another man running from from the scene, carrying what appeared to be a bag.

The injured man was taken to a hospital for treatment.

No additional information was immediately available.
