Our Thanksgiving started with a lot of rain for parts of Central Florida and even some strong storms.

Heavy showers dumped several inches of rain in Volusia County, and there were even reports of thunderstorm wind damage. Scattered showers will stick around overnight as low pressure moves northeast.

There will still be a chance for rain Friday, but beginning to wind down as the low moves away.

Cloudy skies will stick around through the overnight hours. Scattered showers and possibly a storm will continue into Friday morning, but not as widespread as Thursday afternoon.

Temperatures will be mild, dropping into the mid to low 60s. Some areas will make it down into the upper 50s.

Low pressure will start to pull away from Central Florida Friday. We’ll still have a chance for showers and a few storms, but the potential will start to drop during the afternoon.

Once the low moves northeast, drier air will move in for the weekend. We’ll see plenty of sunshine both Saturday and Sunday with high temperatures in the mid to low 70s.

In the tropics, no development is expected. The season ends Nov. 30.
