  • Incident report said sorority member came forward

The Theta Sigma chapter of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority is barred from participating in on- and off-campus activities during the interim suspension, the university confirmed Tuesday.

A hearing to discuss the interim suspension with the sorority was scheduled Tuesday, and it was determined that the sorority would remain under interim suspension until UCF completes its investigation.

According to a student conduct incident report, a member of Alpha Xi Delta came forward after an incident that involved underage drinking and hazing.

She alleged that another member of the sorority told a non-initiated member at the time to chug a pitcher of mimosas while at a "big/little ceremony." The reported sorority member then ordered drinks and shots for their "little sisters," even though most of them were underage.

UCF said that providing alcohol to people under the legal drinking age and hazing could result in felony charges.
