The Main Street Bridge in Daytona Beach was temporarily closed Tuesday morning after a body was found in the Halifax River, police said.

A couple was walking west along the bridge when a woman spotted the body of a man in the water, near the southwest section of the bridge, police said.
The couple called 911, and police officers, Volusia County Beach Patrol and police detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division responded.
Police identified the man as John David Lee Jr, 48. His autopsy was Wednesday.
