Marion County deputies rescued a pig that was abandoned by its owner on Sunday.

Two deputies responded to a call about a pig on the loose.

A neighbor told deputies the pig’s owner abandoned him because the owner had an arrest warrant.

Deputies were able to keep “Wandering Wilbur” out of the roadway.  

The friendly pig followed deputies around while they waited for animal control to arrive.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office shared of photo of the pig on its Facebook page.

Deputies hope that the pig finds a good home.
