Our cold front has pushed south of Central Florida tonight, bringing cooler air back into the region.

  • Overnight lows in the 50s
  • Showers return Tuesday
  • Active holiday week

We’ll see clear skies tonight and chilly temps at daybreak, with overnight lows in the 50s. Some areas northwest of Orlando will fall into the 40s.

The great weather returns to start the shortened work week. Expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies for Monday with highs in the mid 70s. It will be breezy, especially along the coast during the daytime hours.

A Small Craft Advisory will continue on Monday, with winds 15-20 knots and seas 3-5 feet. Surfers will find poor conditions, with an increasing northeasterly windswell. The rip current threat will remain moderate to start the work week.

Big changes are still on track to arrive starting Tuesday. A large storm system will begin to develop and push toward Florida, bringing clouds and scattered showers to the area. Highs for Tuesday will be in the mid 70s.

The big travel day on Wednesday looks unsettled across Florida. Mostly cloudy skies will prevail, with a good chance for scattered showers. Highs for Wednesday will be in the mid 70s.

Unfortunately, it is looking more likely that Thanksgiving will feature mostly cloudy skies and periods of scattered showers. Many outdoor plans may need to be moved indoors as showers impact parts of the area. Highs for the holiday will be in the mid 70s.

The pesky storm system looks to exit for Black Friday, with just a 30 percent rain chance mainly east of Orlando. Temps for Friday will be in the low 70s.

Sunshine and drier air will likely return for the back end of the holiday weekend, with highs in the low 70s.

In the tropics, all remains quiet as we wind down the 2017 hurricane season. No major activity is expected over the next 5 days.

Hurricane season ends on November 30.
