A 22-year-old man was arrested after exchanging gunfire with police in Titusville on Sunday, authorities said.

Harland Ramon Johnson faces multiple charges, including discharge of a firearm from a vehicle, carrying a concealed firearm, tampering with evidence, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police responded to an apartment complex on Mayfair Way at 5 a.m. after reports of a man with a gun.

When officers encountered Johnson, he fired a handgun and officers fired back, according to a police report.

No injuries were reported.

Johnson was taken into custody and booked into the Brevard County Jail without bond.

An internal investigation is being conducted, in compliance with Titusville Police Department policy.

The names of the officers involved in the incident were not released Sunday.
