A Celebration neighborhood is making its own frightful festival.

Jeater Bend Drive has a dozen Halloween Homes, all decked out for and synced up.

“There’s a lot of setup and teardown in the evenings,” said Calvin Slater, who started the tradition. “So we’re out here half an hour before the show starts and half hour after the show ends.”

The houses are decorated with projections, lights, water and even fire. Jeater Bend is widely known for putting on a show every Christmas, but they do it for Halloween as well.

“Safety is a big art of the display. We make sure there's no -- kids can basically run on the sidewalk and not have any issues. We have kids of our own here,” Slater said. “So that is a very important part of it.”

Kissimmee Utility Authority encourages homeowners to plug outdoor decorations properly to prevent any accidents.

“We encourage homeowners to be aware that you're going to have a lot of traffic and a lot of foot traffic, and just be aware of what you have in your yard and across your sidewalks,” said KUA spokesperson Chris Gent. “We want everyone to have a safe Halloween.”

Every year Jeater Bend adds something new, and they only hope to continue expanding. “It’s growing… This year has been our biggest year yet,” Slater added.

This Halloween display runs from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday.
