Taylor Farms Florida has issued a recall of its ready-to-eat salad with chicken products due to misbranding, according to the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.

  • Taylor Farms American Style Pasta Salad recalled

  • Customers can return product for refund

The salad dressing included with Taylor Farms American Style Pasta Salad contain anchovies, a known allergen, which is not listed on the product label.

Affected products were produced and packaged on Oct. 22 and Oct. 23 and have the number “EST. 44818” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

  • 9.75-oz. plastic bowls containing “Taylor Farms American Style Pasta Salad” with a “USE BY 11/01/17” and case code of TFFLD 295 L5 EA.
  • 9.75-oz. plastic bowls containing “Taylor Farms American Style Pasta Salad” with a “USE BY 11/02/17” and case code of TFFLD 296 L5 JP.

A complaint from a consumer Thursday prompted the product check.

The Orlando-based Taylor Farms determined that the salad actually contained Caesar dressing, which uses anchovies, instead of bacon ranch dressing.

The items were shipped to retail locations throughout Florida.

Customers with fish allergies should throw away the salads or return them for a refund.

Anyone with questions about the recall, should contact Taylor Farms at (855) 455-0098.
