Children walking through Derbyshire Park found the body near football fields just before 2 p.m., police said.
The 31-year-old woman appeared to have trauma to her body, police said.
The woman has been identified, but police are not releasing her name until relatives are notified.
Police are offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest.
