One of three teens facing charges in the death of Winter Park High student Roger Trindade will be charged as an adult, the State Attorney's Office confirmed Monday.

Simeon Joshua Hall, 16, has been charged with manslaughter and felony battery, among others. He was booked into jail Monday morning, court records show.

One other teen faces manslaughter charges, and a third pleaded no contest to witness tampering in connection with the death of Trindade, who was found severely beaten in a Winter Park city park a year ago.

Two of the teens have filed "stand your ground" motions in their defense. Florida's "stand your ground" law says a person doesn't have to first try to run away before resorting to deadly force when faced with great harm.

Trindade, a 15-year-old Winter Park High School student, died at a hospital Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, days after being beaten. An autopsy found that he died of a brain hemorrhage.
