According to the Brevard County Sheriff's Office, after 73-year-old Edward Ratcliffe allegedly killed his ex-stepdaughter 54-year-old Amy Williams, he committed suicide.

Deputies say Ratcliffe blamed Williams for his divorce from her mother and that he shot Williams multiple times inside her home in unincorporated Cocoa.

News 13 was told Ratcliffe later called 911 and admitted he had killed his stepdaughter and said he was going to commit suicide.

St. John’s County Sheriff's deputies went to Ratcliffe's home, he turned the gun on himself and killed himself.
