Another rain-free day for most of us here in Central Florida, with a few isolated showers pushing across Brevard and Osceola counties.

High pressure remains entrenched across our region, with drier air winning out in the atmosphere.

A weak low in the Bahamas is trying to drift toward the state, sending some moisture into the coast. Isolated showers are in the forecast along the coast overnight, while the rest of us remain dry, with scattered activity on the way for the rest of Friday afternoon.

We’re getting more of a squeeze play Friday into the weekend thanks to high pressure to our north and the weak low south, so expect an onshore flow to drag moisture across the peninsula.

Rain chances increase 40 to 50-percent the next few days, and highs dip slightly into the mid to upper 80s.

In the Atlantic, Hurricane Ophelia is well out to sea and will NOT have any impact the U.S.

Surfing conditions don’t look great the next few days with an increasing easterly swell, even with wave heights running a little over three to four feet. The rip current risk stays moderate the next couple days, so stay close to a lifeguard stand. And don’t forget the sunscreen because our UV index is very high.
