A Daytona Beach police officer is facing charges after a woman says he asked her for oral sex when he transported her to jail.

  • Police Officer Aitchison accused of asking suspect for oral sex
  • Aitchison was transporting the woman to jail
  • Daytona Beach Police say he has been suspended without pay

The incident happened at the end of May. Police say the woman was arrested late at night.

Daytona Beach Transport Police Officer Nicholas Aitchison was supposed to transport the woman to the Volusia County Jail.

But on the way, a police report says the 28-year-old part time officer pulled over near a building between Educators Road and Old Deland, and asked her to step out.

Police say he's seen on camera briefly. They say the incident occurred out of camera view, but he allegedly put her handcuffed hands on his pants as he exposed himself.

Police transcribed what they could hear. They say the victim says "if we were dating" and "not right now" several times. Police say they were able to determine the van was stopped for 8 minutes.

The report says Aitchison claims he stopped after he noticed her handcuffs were off, and he says he opened the door to put her cuffs back on and took her straight to the jail.

Police say the victim looked disturbed when she got back inside the van and she reported it to the officer as she was booked.

Officer Aitchison was arrested last Friday. His bond was set at $15,000. He is no longer in custody.

Officer Aitchison has been with the department since March of this year as a transport officer.

Aitchison is facing charges of simple battery, false imprisonment and indecent exposure. He is suspended without pay.
