Some cooler air has moved into Central Florida. Here's the weekend weather forecast:

Following a cold front moving through Central Florida, high temperatures Friday afternoon only made it into the mid to upper 60s. Dry air moved in and allowed for some sunshine to round out our work week.

Unfortunately, the sun will not be sticking around this weekend. Unseasonably cool temperatures are in store for both Saturday and Sunday with rain chances picking up Saturday night.

Mostly clear skies are in the forecast through the overnight hours. An extra blanket may be necessary with temperatures falling into the mid to low 40s. Some of our northern spots may drop into the upper 30s.

Our Saturday will start out chilly, but sunny. We’ll only warm to around 60 degrees heading into the afternoon with winds out of the north-northwest.

Clouds will start to increase late in the day as low pressure starts to move in from the Gulf. This low will stream moisture back in our direction and there is a decent chance for showers starting Saturday night and continuing Sunday morning.

Temperatures Sunday will only make it into the mid to upper 50s. We’ll gradually warm back up next week.

It may be too cool to head to the beach or out on the boat this weekend. If you do, though, you’ll want to exercise caution. There will be a decent chop with a moderate rip current risk sticking around.
