A second round of Brevard Ocean Rescue lifeguard tryouts is happening Saturday, Jan. 21 at 7 a.m. at Rockledge High School.

Ten more spots are needing to be filled for the upcoming season from March to October of this year.

Candidates must be at least 16 years old, be a strong swimmer, swim 500 meters in less than 10 minutes, run a mile in less than 10 minutes and perform a physical agility test.

Make sure you bring a valid driver's license, social security card, swim attire, towel and running shoes.

Starting pay for lifeguards is $9.89 an hour.
