According to the Ocoee Police Department, one adult and one student were injured in a crash between a pickup truck and school bus early Thursday morning.

The crash happened on Clarcona Ocoee Road, near Apopka Vineland Road around 6 a.m. For several hours, police officers blocked parts of Clarcona Ocoee Road while Orange County Fire and Rescue sent two people to the hospital.

The Ocoee Police Department said only one student was on the bus at the time of the crash. The student received minor injuries and the driver of the bus did not get injured.

The driver of the pickup truck had to be cut out of the vehicle and airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

The Ocoee Police Department said the driver of the truck was talking to medical crews as they airlifted him.

The bus involved in the crash was owned by a private school.
