Friday will be warm and quiet, but showers and storms are coming this weekend. Here's a look at the forecast:

  • Warm temperatures about to break?
  • Highs in the 70s and 80s Friday
  • Severe weather potential on the way

Our Thursday afternoon was quiet and warm with high temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s. Conditions will be similar for the end of our work week. In fact, no major weather changes are expected through Saturday. A strong cold front will move in on Sunday and bring showers and storms, along with some cooler conditions.

Partly cloudy skies are in the forecast through the overnight hours. Temperatures will be mild, falling to around 60 degrees. The light winds will allow for some areas of dense fog as we head toward daybreak on Friday.

Our Friday forecast looks pretty good to round out the work week. We’ll see mostly sunny skies once again as temperatures climb quickly into the upper 70s to low 80s.

Saturday will remain pretty quiet with only an isolated shower possible during the afternoon. By Sunday, a strong cold front will begin to move in. Showers and storms will be likely Sunday afternoon and overnight into Monday morning. Some of the storms have the potential to be strong.

Following this system, highs will get knocked down to around 70 degrees early next week.

Beach and boating conditions will be favorable until Sunday. If you’re wanting to surf, however, conditions will be very poor for Friday.
