The family of Markeith Loyd's first alleged victim, ex-girlfriend Sade Dixon, says they hope Loyd gets the death penalty.

Loyd is facing a slew of charges including first-degree murder, in the slaying of his pregnant ex-girlfriend Sade Dixon. Deputies also say Loyd shot her brother, Ron Stewart Jr., who was just trying to help her.

The Dixon-Daniels family home is still littered with bullet holes from the Dec. 14 shooting.

"Yes that's a bullet hole... A bullet hole there on the walls and the door," said Ron Daniels, Sade Dixon's father.

Those are the marks they say Markeith Loyd left on their home.

"He had no regard for human life whatsoever, to take your unborn child and the mother of your child and just kill her in cold blood," said Stephanie Dixon-Daniels, the mother of Sade Dixon.

Following Loyd's arrest, the family said they would like a speedy trial so that their family can begin to move on. More importantly, they would like some sort of explanation for their daughter's death.

"The only thing would be 'Why? Why our daughter?'" Daniels said.

While they may never hear a direct answer, they are hopeful more information will be revealed during the trial.

In the meantime, the Dixon-Daniels family said they are working on helping Ronald Stewart recover from his gun shot wounds. They are also raising Sade's two other children.
