An investigation is underway after a shooting on a busy road in Lake Mary on Saturday night.

  • Police say a car pulled up behind another vehicle and fired shots
  • The occupants, 3 adults and 1 child, suffered minor injuries
  • Investigators are looking for the suspect shooter

The shooting occurred just before 8 p.m. on Rinehart Road, according to police.

Investigators say a vehicle carrying three adults and a child was traveling on Interstate 4 before taking the exit for 46-A.

The vehicle was stopped at a light. When the light turn green, a driver in a car behind it began honking.

The victims told investigators that as both vehicle traveled eastbound on Rinehart Road, the car pulled up alongside them and fired shots.

The suspected car drove away, according to police.

The people in the first vehicle had minor injuries, but did not require hospitalization.
