  • Onshore flow and coastal showers
  • Slight warming trend

This evening will continue to be warm and less humid with temperatures falling into the low 70s under a partly cloudy sky.  Overnight fog will be forming again with visibility by Monday morning getting down to a quarter mile in some places.  Temperatures will be falling into the upper 50s then climbing back to near 80 Monday afternoon as our wind turns more out of the southeast.

High pressure to our north has helped to draw slightly dryer air into the peninsula keeping us mostly dry as well as making it less humid than previous days.  Monday, this high pressure will be slowly shifting east into the Atlantic allowing for wind to turn more form the southeast.  Little change in our overall pattern is anticipated for a few days, so highs will be near 80 and lows near 60.  Isolated shower chances will increase a little by the end of the workweek however, no widespread soaking rain is expected over the next seven days.

Poor to fair conditions are in the forecast for our surf Monday.  Wave heights will be between three and five feet with the rip current threat moderate.  Water temperatures are in the 60s with it being 61 degrees at Daytona Beach and 67 degrees at Cocoa Beach.  UV index is 5 for Monday.
