Reclaimed water in Titusville does not meet the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s standards, according to Brevard County officials.

Representatives with Brevard County Emergency Management say they are working to address the issue.

In the meantime, reclaimed water customers are advised to refrain from using the water until it meets FDEP standards.

Once the water meets standards, customers will be notified, officials say.

Reclaimed water can’t be used for human consumption or piped into homes. It should also not be used to fill swimming pools or irrigate vegetables.
