A suspect was shot and killed Thursday at a Holiday Inn Express in Ocala, police said.
The Ocala Police Department responded at about 1:07 p.m. to the hotel at 1212 S. Pine Ave. There was an armed confrontation between a suspect and multiple Ocala Police officers, a news release states.
The suspect was killed in the shooting.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has been called in to investigate the officer-involved shooting. The suspect's identity hasn't been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
