  • Joseph Brodecky drove his Buick into Little Lake Conway: FHP
  • Unknown how long or how deep he was in the lake
  • Crash under investigation

At around 12:20 a.m., Monday, Joseph Brodecky was driving his 2008, four-door Buick on the southbound lane on Ferncreek Avenue when for some reason he left the road and entered a lake near Waterwich Drive, FHP stated in its press release.

The Winter Park man's car became submerged in Little Lake Conway. The press release did not state how long Brodecky and his Buick were submerged, or how deep, before Orange County Fire and Rescue were able to pulled the elderly driver out and took him to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he died.

The FHP is trying to determine if alcohol played a part in the accident, but did note that Brodecky was wearing his seatbelt.

The crash remains under investigation.
