FHP said the accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. at 10th St. and Washington Ave. in Orange County.

Soraya Youngblood, 50, was traveling down 10th St. in her white BMW SUV when the victim, Camari Dennison, riding his bike, pulled out of his driveway and into the road.

Youngblood was unable to avoid striking Camari, who was thrown from the bicycle to the street.  He was taken to Florida Hospital Apopka, where he died from his injuries.

Dennison's grandmother, Dora Norman, struggled for the words to express her grief and anguish following Camari's death.

"It's my baby," said Norman. "I can't find the words to say ... it's my baby. So lost and empty right now."

Family members said Camari was in first grade and involved in little league football. Norman described him as "full of energy."

The crash remains under investigation.
