Power has been restored to Universal Studios Florida on Friday morning after an internal outage took out power to the Central Florida theme park earlier this morning, according to Universal Orlando.

  • Only rides impacted were Transformers, Men In Black
  • No injuries were reported

"Power has been completely restored and all guests are safe and off all rides at this time. Rides are gradually coming back and the park is open for normal operation," Universal spokesman Tom Schroder said.

Islands of Adventure was not impacted by the outage, Schroder said.

Guests were not being asked to leave the theme park as power gradually returned earlier. Park visitor Luke Pykett shares these videos with News 13.

Two rides at Universal Orlando are still "impacted" by the power outage, the Orlando Fire Department said in a tweet.

The rides that were impacted were Transformers and Men in Black, the department said. There are no reports of people in distress.

There were nine Orlando Fire units on standby, the department said.
